rough first draft of proposal

How senior citizens and small children interact with technology, specifically the internet.  I would use my 7 year old sister and my 70 year old grandfather as subjects, along with my other grandparents and young cousins. Through out the course of my research project I would be charting the progress my grandfather George makes with learning how to use his computer. He can barely turn the machine on, so it would would be quite a triumph to get him to create his own blog, and get him to blog as a part of the study.  I would record his progress by filming my visits with him trying to teach him how to use his computer, and record his thoughts and feelings about how the internet has changed the world. I will also be asking similar questions to the 7 year old, and recording her progress as well- she's quite advance as it is.
I would use a mix of film, photography, and other forms of graphic design to create a multimedia presentation that could be edited into mini webisodes.  I could air the different webisodes on this blog to chart my progress- and create a final short film combining all of the material.
The resources that I would use for research would be the books we are already reading in this class.
Along with using the magazine "Wired" as a resource
the book "300 Incredible things for seniors to do on the internet", by Joe West
Various internet sites that teach seniors how to use the internet ( to use them as tutorials- and possibly create our own)
The Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA)
I will also ask questions to my parents and other parents how they feel about children using the internet, the benefits and their fears.
I'm in the process on finding more resources, the books and course material that we are required to read will be perfect for case study information, and help me build my thesis.
